Filmfestival at the Vienna City Hall Square

Cinema in the open air

In this summer, Vienna will once again become an open-air stage for all music lovers. Numerous events and places lure you into the open air and bring variety into the hot summer days and summer nights. The warm summer evenings can be best enjoyed at the City Hall Square. There will be films, concerts, operas and much more from pop / rock to classical music shown on a large screen. From 30 June to 3 September 2017 performances are shown daily with free admission. Start is from dawn.
Enjoy a unique atmosphere in front of the historic setting of the Viennese city hall in the middle of a spacious park.

A varied program

The program for the summer of 2017 offers lots of great treats. The choice between classical concerts, operas, musicals, jazz concerts, rock / pop or ballet and dance performances will be difficult to make. It is best to come as often as you can. Numerous superstars will be on display: Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, Anne Sophie Mutter, Zubin Mehta, the Vienna Philharmonic, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Diana Krall, Depeche Mode, the Rolling Stones and many, many more. The detailed program and further information can be found on the homepage of the Filmfestival.

Culinary from all over the world

The film festival is crowned with an extensive gastronomy, which spoils you with culinary delights. Every day from 11 am to 9 pm you can enjoy the culinary world: from Austrian dishes to Italian specialties, to Asian delicacies and much more, as well as fresh beer and sweet desserts.
In addition, other events are offered outside of the daily evening film screenings: the jazz breakfast on Sundays (from noon to 2.30 pm) and the artists’ Saturdays (from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm).
