Salzburg in spring time

At the moment winter is still at its best display but not long now and spring will return and the temperatures will rise again. What would be nicer than to enjoy the first warm spring days on a holiday to our beautiful city of Salzburg?

Mirabell Palace

A visit to the beautiful gardens of Mirabell palace with an amazing view to the castle of Salzburg is one of the highlights of every visit to Salzburg. In spring, the gardens are changed by nature and by many busy gardeners into a sea of flowers. Wisteria, roses or colorful flower-beds, there is always a lot to see in these gardens.

You can reach the gardens of Mirabell palace easily from our two hotels in Salzburg, the IMLAUER Hotel Pitter Salzburg and the hotel IMLAUER & Bräu in only a 5 minutes’ walk.

The old town of Salzburg

Take a walk through the old town of Salzburg and discover small crooked alleys, big squares, historical buildings, museums and many sightseeing spots. The famous street “Getreidegasse” is lined up by traditional but also by modern shops, the birthplace of Mozart and many small alleys.

On the big squares of the old town, the Mozart square, the Residenz square and the Kapitel square, you can take a nice walk, visit one of the museums or just relax by a cup of coffee in one of the terrace cafés.

You should not miss a visit to the imposing castle of Salzburg. On walking up you will have beautiful views over the city. A tour through the old rooms of the castle is always worth it.

Hellbrunn palace and the trick fountains

Take one of the public busses in front of our hotels in Salbzurg and you can easily reach the hellbrunn palace, the former summer residence of the archbishop Markus Sittikus. The palace is famous for its beautiful park and its trick fountains. Beginning with 1st of April the palace and the fountains are open again for visitors. Don’t miss to see them!
