Restaurant PitterKeller
A cult place for over 100 years: the PitterKeller is not merely one of the oldest beer cellars in the city. It is a real Salzburg institution! Previously known as the Jugendstilkeller, the PitterKeller has been a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike since 1926. Regionality and sustainability are very important to the Imlauer family & team. The Austrian Ecolabel sets an example here.
By the way, you can get from the modern Pitter Event Center to the rustic and charming PitterKeller via an escalator – a special request of Georg Imlauer, who felt that the escalator would remind him of his time on cruise ships on the high seas. When it comes to the classic Austrian cuisine at the PitterKeller, guests and locals alike go into raptures. Excellent, home-style cooking – just as it should be. Fancy a little taste? Try, for example, the “Wiener Schnitzel” of veal with parsley potatoes and cranberries. The homemade, original “Pinzgauer Kasnockn” are the favorite dish of many PitterKeller guests. Or the oven-fresh roast pork, which we bring to your table in a traditional Reindl – perfectly rounded off with bread dumplings and coleslaw. As a sweet finish, the fluffy, homemade Kaiserschmarrn is worth a sin. Or the classic sweet and fluffy Salzburger Nockerl for 2 people.
