The IMLAUER Palais Mirabell (formerly Hotel am Mirabellplatz) combines historic architecture dating back to 1653 with modern comfort and one of the best locations in Salzburg – right on Mirabellplatz, in the heart of the old town, just a few steps from Mirabell Palace and Mozart’s residence.
Since March 2026, the stylishly renovated Palais Hotel has once again been welcoming guests, combining the hotel’s original substance with contemporary design. The new lobby presents itself as the elegant focal point of the hotel – a real gem that harmoniously combines past and present.
The individually designed rooms & suites offer an authentic Salzburg experience – characterized by atmosphere, special details and the feeling of being in the middle of the city and yet completely at home.

The Imlauer family has been at the helm of Salzburg’s historic Palais Hotel since July 2019
The existing Palais was carefully renovated with great sensitivity. Instead of new construction, the focus is on further development – for sustainable quality and another IMLAUER hotel that carries on its history.
The majority of our rooms & suites have already been freshly renovated and have a new design. The different room categories are clearly marked during the booking process – so you can find the room that perfectly suits your stay.
Here you can experience Salzburg not just as a travel destination, but as a real lifestyle – right in the heart of the city of Mozart.
The location is as impressive now as it was in the past
To get to Mirabell Palace, with its magnificent Mirabell Gardens, you simply need to cross the road. The Linzergasse is just a short walk away, as is the world famous Getreidegasse.
