REGIONAL. COMMITTED TO RESPONSIBILITY. FAMILY-OWNED: IMLAUER HOTELS & RESTAURANTS

The IMLAUER philosophy

Regional focus and a demonstrably responsible use of resources—as evidenced by the Austrian Ecolabel —are key principles for us. At IMLAUER Hotels and Restaurants, we therefore implement concrete measures: from collaborating with regional partners and consciously selecting our products to the efficient use of energy and resources. These principles guide our daily operations and the continuous development of our businesses.

Our guests’ satisfaction is our top priority. That is why we place great emphasis on personalized attention and attentive service—from the moment you book until the end of your stay. The fact that so many guests return to our properties regularly is a special source of validation for us and, at the same time, an incentive to continuously improve our offerings and services.

“Joy of service” is an important part of our identity

Despite our size—with approximately 1,200 hotel beds—we have remained a family-run business: deeply rooted in the region, personal, and with an eye for detail. This philosophy shapes our service and is upheld by the Imlauer family as well as by our approximately 500 employees—including 75 apprentices—at our locations in Salzburg, Vienna, and Pichlarn.

The thing with the personal touch

This personal touch defines all IMLAUER properties—from the hotel rooms to our restaurants and bars. Timeless elegance blends with Salzburg charm and a design that reflects a deep attention to detail. In our interiors, we rely on select materials such as wood, leather, and high-quality fabrics, as well as custom designs. We collaborate with regional and local partners throughout the planning and implementation phases. This results in spaces where our guests can feel equally at home, whether they’re on vacation or a business trip. Our properties are fully accessible and tailored to the diverse needs of our guests.

That’s what makes us special: Regionality and partnership-based connections

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is credited with the following quote: “Do you want to keep wandering? Look, the good is so close.” This sentiment aligns well with our philosophy. Austria is rich in history, culture, and high-quality regional products. Whenever it makes sense and is available, we source food and products from regional partners. At the same time, we support local businesses and producers with whom we often have long-standing relationships.

Together we are stronger

With our culinary-regional quality concept, we consistently pursue a mindful, regional approach throughout the year. In the IMLAUER Hotels & Restaurants we offer you bread and pastries from the Rösslhuber bakery in Bergheim and the Leimüller bakery in Seekirchen, meat and sausages from the Renner butcher’s shop in Maxglan and from the Franz Ablinger butcher’s store in Oberndorf near Salzburg. The IMLAUER kitchen team sources seasonal fruit and vegetables from the Walser vegetable farmers, among others. We get our milk and dairy products from Salzburg Milch. The organic free-range eggs come from Siegfried Imlauer’s Thomanhof farm in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer and from IMLAUER Landgut Schloss Pichlarn in Ennstal. We are constantly strengthening and expanding our extensive regional partner network.

Increasing local added value

Even beyond the culinary realm, we collaborate with regional partners in many areas. We source the plumbing fixtures for our properties from Hagleitner in Zell am See. For renovation work, the company Doll from Seekirchen is an important partner, while Voglauer from Abtenau is responsible for the interior design in various areas of our properties. The company Hasenauer, with locations in Saalfelden and Eugendorf, supports us with heating, plumbing, and ventilation.

We also rely on regional partnerships for custom furniture solutions: The Freund carpentry shop in Leogang crafts custom-made furniture for our offices and our team restaurant.

These partnerships strengthen regional value creation and ensure close ties between our operations and our partner companies. As an employer, we are also firmly rooted in our regions: In Salzburg, Vienna, and Pichlarn, we employ approximately 500 people and about 75 apprentices, around 40 of whom are based in Salzburg. This makes IMLAUER one of the largest tourism training companies in Salzburg.

Responsibility That Starts Locally

The careful use of resources is an important part of our corporate philosophy.

At the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn, we focus, among other things, on products from our own estate, collaborations with regional partners, and short supply chains. A solar power system at the resort also generates electricity from solar energy.

In this way, we implement concrete measures step by step and continuously improve our operations.
