When the ball season begins in Salzburg, the IMLAUER Hotel Pitter the dance floor. With its elegant and modern event center, the hotel is the perfect setting for glittering ball nights – and has been for many years.
At the heart of the Pitter Event Center the Pitter Hall inspires with a glamorous ambience that is second to none. The six ornate glass domes made of fine Murano glass are particularly impressive. Depending on the occasion, they shine in the most beautiful colors and bathe the room in a fascinating play of light.
This unique interplay of architecture, light and atmosphere gives every ball a very special touch and makes the Pittersaal one of the most exclusive ball locations in Salzburg.
A brilliant end to the year
Our New Year’s Eve Ball on December 31 is a highlight in our calendar of events every year. As the year draws to a close, we celebrate in style in the Pittersaal: festive gowns, elegant suits, lively dancing and culinary highlights accompany the turn of the year in a truly magnificent atmosphere.
The Pittersaal offers plenty of space for dancing, partying and culinary delights – perfect for bidding a dignified farewell to the old year and welcoming the new one in style.
Nice to know: People have been dancing and celebrating here for over 140 years. Because the house has always been a place for parties and dance events. A separate dance hall was already causing a sensation at the end of the 19th century and was still located on the first floor of the building at the time.

The Salzburg Police Ball
Also the Salzburg Police Ball will take place again in 2026 at the IMLAUER Hotel Pitter Salzburg. For the 77th time, the Salzburg police officers invite you to dance – as in many years before in the magnificent Pittersaal of our hotel.
The traditional ball is an integral part of the city’s social life and stands for elegance, encounters and festive joie de vivre.
