Regionality. Sustainability. Care. These terms that have become buzzwords in recent years. For us, however, they represent much more than that. We are proud to say: We at IMLAUER HOTELS and RESTAURANTS live and breathe these values. They shape our philosophy. They guide us in our daily work – in our teamwork and vis-à-vis our guests.

 

Our primary goal? The unrestricted satisfaction of our guests. How do we achieve this? By giving everything for you, every day. This starts when you make your booking and ends… well, never, ideally! A large number of our guests come back to us. We are particularly proud of the large number of regular guests at our establishments. The “joy of customer service” is an important part of our identity

Despite us now having over 900 hotel beds and more than 2,000 restaurant and bar covers, we have remained a family business at heart. Firmly ensconced in the region, with a personal touch and the necessary attention to detail. After all, the idea is for you to feel completely at home, all year round. This “joy of customer service” has been lived and breathed through the Imlauer family for years. More than 350 employees do this alongside us. Day in, day out.

The thing about that personal touch

This personal approach is seen in all IMLAUER establishments. It is reflected in our hotel rooms, restaurants and bars. Timeless elegance, paired with Salzburg charm. Everything has been planned and implemented such that even we feel completely at home in all areas of IMLAUER’s establishments. Only high-quality materials are used in the interior areas – from warm wood to soft leather, from fine fabrics to individual designs. Everything comes from local companies – for unforgettable moments of well-being, whether you come to us for a holiday or check in for business reasons. By the way: All our establishments are accessible to those with disabilities. For unlimited holiday enjoyment and relaxing business trips.

What makes us: Regionality and partnerships

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was quoted as saying: “Would you roam forever onward? See the good that lies so near. Only learn to grasp that fortune: Fortune that is always there.” This beautiful quote applies splendidly to the Salzburger region. It is rich in history, rich in culture and in beautiful nature. This nature produces valuable food every day. This is why we keep it, like the great German poet said, and get the good stuff directly from our immediate neighbourhood. Simply because the quality is right. And also because, as a family business, we are committed to supporting the region and our local partners.

Together we are stronger

With our culinary-regional quality concept, we consistently pursue a careful, regional path throughout the year. At IMLAUER HOTELS and RESTAURANTS we have, for example, bread and pastries from the Rösslhuber bakery in Bergheim, meat and sausages from the Renner butcher’s in Maxglan, fish from Grüll (the Grödig fishmongers), and seasonal fruit and vegetables from the Walser vegetable farmers. The organic free-range eggs come from Siegfried Imlauer’s Tomanhof, in Saalfelden in the Steinernes Meer, or “Rocky Sea”. In the future, we will focus even more on regionality, and continue to expand our extensive network of regional partners. For example, “Salzburg Milch” will also be added as a partner company.

Increasing local value-added

However, our establishments focus on regionality even beyond the culinary field. For example, we purchase the bathroom products for IMLAUER establishments from Hagleitner from Zell am See, and Doll from Seekirchen is our partner for renovation work. The interior design is done by the Voglauer, the Abtenauer hotel designers. Because “good” can also be “close”. This creates local added value, increases environmental viability and makes a valuable contribution to sustainability through low transportation costs. Speaking of the region and sustainability: With around 350 employees and approx. 50 apprentices, IMLAUER is also the largest trainer of tourist apprentices in Salzburg.

Green and proud of it

We should all take care of our environment. After all, it’s the only one we have. In IMLAUER HOTELS and RESTAURANTS, we are sending out a clear message that it should be protected. Since 2015, all IMLAUER establishments have held the Austrian Eco-label certificate, thereby making an important contribution to sustainable tourism.
