THE PLACE TO ENJOY

A JOURNEY INTO THE FUTURE

Hotel Schloss Pichlarn in the Styrian Enns Valley has been part of the IMLAUER Hotels & Restaurants group since the beginning of the year. With its 1000-year-old tradition, the 5-star resort offers a special place of power to experience relaxation and enjoyment in harmony with nature.

We look to the future and show you our plans for the new IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn. The house already scores with pure enjoyment of nature: A private forest, views of mountains, meadows and woods as well as valuable privacy allow for exclusive retreat and deep relaxation.

Most of our hotels and restaurants in Salzburg and Vienna have been certified with the “Austrian Ecolabel” since 2016. This is why sustainability, regionality and closeness to nature will also play an important role in Styria.

A climate-neutral organic hotel in the midst of beautiful nature

With its ecologically compatible, mindful concept, the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn has its finger on the pulse of the times. Seclusion and naturalness are valued by guests as a unique selling point. Gentle outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, golfing, skiing, ski touring and cross-country skiing are the ideal complement to a relaxing vacation.

The property offers enough space to possibly even run your own farm with agriculture in the future and offer guests home-made products to take away. In short, a place for enjoyable time-out is being created here, where body, mind and soul can recharge their batteries.

On the best path

This summer, we have already implemented some of our plans to offer our guests more enjoyment, closeness to nature and regionality.

A 300 m² glass house has already been built with fruit varieties, different types of vegetables and a rich herb bed.

When it’s a little cooler in the evening, the newly built, fragrant Swiss stone pine sauna in the wellness area is ready for a relaxing sweat.

Great importance is attached to regionality and sustainability, working together with regional partners and suppliers.

More nature, more enjoyment

A mobile chicken coop with 250 chickens has recently been installed on the estate. This will ensure that the hotel is supplied with its own organic eggs. The happy chickens enjoy plenty of freedom of movement and their own meadow access. And the fresh organic eggs find their way directly into the restaurant kitchen and onto the breakfast buffet.

In addition, 60 fruit trees were planted this summer, including pears, plums and various apple varieties. The fruit will not only enrich our culinary offering. This area will be a real eye-catcher in spring when it is in bloom.

Innovative and close to nature into the future

But our plans go even further. The 5-star resort is to be gradually transformed into a climate-neutral organic hotel. The wish is that the hotel can supply itself with its own electricity and water from 4 sources in the future and thus become energy self-sufficient.

A 300 KW photovoltaic system on the roof of the tennis hall is also being planned. The electricity is used for the air heat pumps and the charging station for the electric cars, among other things.

In future, we would like to have the biomass required for the district heating we still need, which is obtained from the Irdning Biowärme farm, processed from the hotel’s own forests.
