10 YEARS IMLAUER SKY BAR & RESTAURANT

For 10 years we have been welcoming Salzburgers and guests from all over the world to the IMLAUER Sky Bar & Restaurant above the rooftops of Salzburg and delight them with exceptional cuisine, delicious cocktails and an incomparable view of the city of Mozart.

It all began when the IMLAUER Hotel & Restaurant Group acquired the traditional Salzburg Hotel Pitter in 2008 and wanted to restore it to its former glory with a complete renovation and modernization. However, owner Georg Imlauer’s vision of creating a jewel among Salzburg’s traditional hotels went even further.

“Basically, it was clear that we wanted to expand the conference area and refurbish all 200 rooms. Subsequently, we considered adding another storey to the building. But during an initial inspection of the roof, I was overwhelmed by the view of the city of Salzburg and the surrounding mountains. I immediately realized that a place had to be created here for all hotel guests and all Salzburg residents.”

Just a few years later, in November 2014, the IMLAUER Sky Bar & Restaurant was opened on the newly created 6th floor of the IMLAUER Hotel Pitter Salzburg was opened.

What began ten years ago with a vision has developed into one of the leading fine dining restaurants in the region. From the very beginning, our aim was to combine the highest level of enjoyment with an ambience that is both modern and inviting.

Over the past few years, we have been able to share countless unforgettable moments with our guests – from romantic candlelight dinners and celebratory anniversaries to business events and the annual New Year’s Eve gala menu with a unique view of the Salzburg New Year’s Eve fireworks.

  • We have welcomed around 2 million guests in the last 10 years.

  • We “head” around 30,000 bottles of sparkling wine & 1000 bottles of champagne every year

  • 15 tons of coffee were needed for around 1,800,000 cups of delicious coffee enjoyment

  • 35 employees are on duty every day to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

  • Over 100,000 working hours are put in each year (from the first cleaning to the last cocktail).

  • Our most popular dish: Beef fillet steak with a choice of side dishes

  • More than 3,700 5-star ratings online

Many regional partners have accompanied us over the last 10 years and we would like to thank them for their wonderful cooperation.
