THE PLACE WITH HISTORY

Quand on vendait encore de la mode à l’hôtel IMLAUER de Salzbourg

Before Georg and Ingrid Imlauer took over the IMLAUER hotel in Salzbourg, located at number 12 on Rainerstraße, and transformed it into a hotel, they demolished the Niedermeier store. It was a large, distinguished store, particularly well known for its robes, chemisiers, lingerie and accessories. Under the direction of Fritz and Grete Niedermeier, the company became one of the first fashion stores in Salzbourg.

After the renovation in 1938, the large showcases of fashion and food products attracted residents and visitors who strolled from the gare towards the center of the city into the premises of the maison commerciale. Even after the Second World War, which caused serious damage due to bombings, the owners did not abandon the business and the Niedermeier store opened its doors in 1948. In the premises of the couture store, not only was the clientele served in an exceptional manner, but fashion sales were also regularly organized.

The satisfaction of the staff was particularly important for the Niedermeier family, and this cohesion was immortalized in a photo taken in 1950. It is also from this year that the album photo that the employees offered to Mr. and Mrs. Niedermeier in 1950, and from which the photos are taken, dates.

L’entreprise Quelle loué la maison Niedermeier jusqu’en 2000, date à laquelle elle a été reprise par la famille Imlauer et transformée en hôtel IMLAUER Salzbourg.
