IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn
to accompany many couples on this unique day.
Julia & Stefan tied the knot in May 2023 at the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn. We spoke to them about this special day, the preparations and their favorite moments.
Why did you choose the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn as the location?
Schloss Pichlarn was perfectly located for our wedding celebration, as both families had roughly the same journey time. But of course it was also a dream to get married in such a castle with this backdrop and to enjoy this wonderful day.
You live in Hamburg. Was it difficult for you to organize everything for the wedding?
Thanks to the great support of the whole hotel team, this was super easy. In reality, we only had to take care of the little things. We had simply expressed our wishes in advance by email and discussed everything with the whole team at an on-site appointment. That was actually it.

How long in advance did you start planning?
We secured a date last summer, but we also had several options to choose from. We started planning the schedule and organization in the autumn, but were actually able to discuss and determine most of the details at the above-mentioned on-site meeting.
What points did you attach particular importance to?
For our wedding, we wanted to be able to fully enjoy the day and not be stressed out by organizational issues. For this reason, we have left it to the team at Schloss Pichlarn to make organizational decisions based on the weather or the local possibilities of the celebration on the day of the wedding. We discussed the schedule, desired culinary delights and drinks, etc. in advance. We were rewarded for this at our wedding reception with perfect organization and perfect service, which fulfilled all our wishes and those of our guests in a very cordial and professional manner.
Did you feel well looked after by the team at the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn?
In any case! We really appreciated your experience in event planning and are very grateful for the recommendations you gave us. Even on the day itself, you organized everything perfectly and thought through and prepared all options (bad weather, moving from outside to inside, covered wedding ceremony with a beautiful tent with chandelier).
Was it possible to realize everything as you had imagined?
We were very pleasantly surprised! We arrived in Pichlarn the day before, were welcomed directly by the hotel team and given a tour of the different locations. Everything was already prepared, super well thought out and simply perfectly implemented.

From your experience, what advice would you give to other couples who are planning their wedding?
Take care of the appointment early ;). So, apart from the obvious, look for a location like Schloss Pichlarn, where professionals organize the wedding for you and where you get everything from one source (champagne reception, aperitif, cake, dinner, contact to the house florist, …) and you don’t have to worry about anything yourself. This takes away all the organizational stress beforehand and on the day of the wedding so that you can fully enjoy your special day.
What do you particularly remember?
Schloss Pichlarn is beautifully situated in the middle of nature. Getting married against the backdrop of the castle with the Grimming and under the old lime tree is a highlight in itself. Furthermore, we really enjoyed the warmth of the entire team and can only thank them for a unique and wonderful wedding celebration at the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn!
