Cinema in the open air
For most visitors to Vienna, the Museumsquartier with its great museums is a must-see on their city trip. The beautiful inner courtyard is a much-used meeting place for Viennese and also attracts visitors with its gastronomic offerings.
In summer, from July 18 to September 6, 2025, the Museumsquartier will also become an open-air cinema. Every Friday and Saturday, 8 Austrian and international films will be shown in the courtyard. Each screening will be preceded by an audience discussion with film teams and cultural professionals. Admission is free! In case of bad weather, the cinema moves to the MQ Arena 21.
