THE PLACE TO TASTE

THE ROUND LUCK FROM SALZBURG

Are you already dreaming of your next visit to Salzburg or are you already here and looking for a souvenir for those who stayed at home? We have the perfect moment of happiness for you and your loved ones.

Sweeten your everyday life with the temptingly delicious and beautifully packaged Mozartkugeln. They make your dreams and memories of Salzburg even sweeter. The mixture of marzipan, pistachios, nougat and dark chocolate has already delighted guests from all over the world.

The original

The Mozartkugel was invented by Paul Fürst, the founder and owner of Konditorei Fürst, which still exists today. 1890 is given as the year of the invention. The sweet creation was awarded a gold medal in Paris in 1905.

To this day, the production of the

Original Salzburg Mozartkugeln

at the Fürst company has not changed. Each one is handmade, preservative-free and produced according to the original recipe.

You can purchase the Original Salzburg Mozartkugel from Fürst directly in one of the Salzburg stores or in the online store. One of the Fürst patisseries is just a few minutes’ walk from our hotels on Mirabellplatz.

The great success

The great success of the Mozartkugel soon led to it being imitated and sold by other confectioners.

There are currently over 10 different companies and confectioners in Austria and Germany that produce Mozartkugeln. These include the confectioners Holzmayr, Schatz and Hofbauer and the companies Salzburg Schokolade, Reber and others.

Whether spherical or flattened at the bottom, with more or less marzipan, handmade or industrially produced – you simply have to taste your way through and find your own favorite.
