THE PLACE TO THRIEVE
TOGETHER INTO THE FUTURE
At IMLAUER Hotels & Restaurants, “togetherness” and “for one another” have always been very important. All the more so in these times, which pose difficult challenges not only in the workplace, but also in the private sphere.
With around 420 employees, IMLAUER Hotels & Restaurants is the largest tourism employer in the province of Salzburg, with operations in Salzburg, Vienna and Aigen in Styria. In order to cushion the enormous price increases for energy, diesel, petrol and food, the IMLAUER Group has decided to support its employees financially.
A trend-setting signal
The 200,000 euro package will be paid out on an ongoing basis over the coming months. Specifically, all full-time employees will receive a monthly allowance of 100 euros net, while part-time employees will receive a pro rata share. This payment will come into effect immediately and will be paid out up to and including April 2023 – until the collective increase.
“With this step, we want to set an example and express our appreciation and gratitude to our 420 employees. Thanks to their outstanding commitment, it was possible to make 2022 a very successful year for us. By distributing this extra payment, we also want to show that we greatly appreciate the contribution of all employees to the company’s success,” explains company founder and owner Georg Imlauer.

Appreciation and promotion
Appreciation at IMLAUER Hotels & Restaurants is always mutual. Recognition of what all employees achieve every day, support from the employer and career advancement are important principles and make the IMLAUER Group a valued employer. The gourmet magazine Falstaff also found this to be the case when it recently voted Georg Imlauer one of the “Best Employers 2022”, with 98 out of 100 points.
On the other hand, we have employees who have often been with the company for decades, a warm working atmosphere and many success stories, ranging from winning places in apprentice competitions to the awarding of toques for our restaurants. For example, Gault & Millau has just awarded one toque each to the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn and the IMLAUER Sky – Bar & Restaurant.
Love of the profession
The training of apprentices is particularly important at IMLAUER Hotels & Restaurants. Passing on knowledge, special skills and a love of the profession is the basis for ensuring a future for professionally trained employees. Around 40 apprentices are currently undergoing training.
In order to support them in these financially difficult times, a special bonus program has been developed, under which young adults can receive up to 6,600 euros under certain conditions.
In addition, there will also be an attractive “appreciation package” where each employee can put together an individual “benefit package” worth EUR 2,200 from various services. The package includes benefits such as the climate ticket, courses, bonuses, accommodation options, hotel vouchers, etc.

“For me, it is important to create an attractive working environment for our employees. In addition to fair pay and attractive benefits, as an employer it is also important to demonstrate social competence.”
